How does it work?

  1. Sign up for the CHaRM Drop-Off Pilot Program
  2. Bring your compostables to CHaRM during their operating hours each week
  3. Check in with a CHaRM representative to drop off your compostables
  4. Make an impact! All compost created will be shared with local community gardens
  5. Only household compostables will be accepted. Not for businesses.

The fine print

CompostNow is partnering with CHaRM to provide an easy and convenient drop-off pilot program that empowers more community members to compost! It’s important to note that this is currently a pilot program and can be changed or stopped at any time.

Who are we?

CompostNow is a collection service who empowers community members and local businesses to divert their compostables from the landfill, and instead, use those nutrients to build healthy soil. To date, CompostNow members have diverted more than 14 million pounds of compostables from landfills and have created more than 5 million pounds of nutrient-rich compost for local use.

CHaRM stands for The Center for Hard to Recycle Materials. It is a permanent drop-off facility that aims to improve our environmental health by encouraging reuse and diverting thousands of pounds of household hazardous waste, bulky trash, and other hard to recycle items from Metro-Atlanta landfills and water systems.
