Brand Ambassador - AKA Soil Squad Roles in the Triangle, Asheville, and Atlanta • Part-Time

CompostNow is looking to add to it’s growing Soil (Brand) Ambassador team! You will be directly responsible for growing membership and making the Triangle, Asheville, and Atlanta a more compostable community one new member at a time.

You‘ll be part of a small team in a start-up environment and be able to get involved in all aspects of growing a social enterprise. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain fun and meaningful sales and marketing experience on a part-time basis. Must be available to work weekends. Opportunity for growth will be based on performance.

Member Support Representative - AKA Compost Concierge Raleigh, NC • Full-Time

CompostNow is looking for an outgoing and grounded individual passionate about helping the planet and their fellow community to join our Raleigh-based team and play a key role in maintaining and furthering an exceptional composting experience for our members!

In this position, you will be responsible for working with our various team members to coordinate member onboarding, support, and engagement. The primary tasks involved include answering phones and emails to answer questions and solve compost problems as they arise. We’re looking for an individual who wants to grow and evolve individually while also contributing to the growth and evolution of our organization!

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with their subscription & billing questions
  • Offer general support to our members along their composting journey
  • Onboard and offboard members
  • Respond to issues that may require troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource and follow up to ensure timely responses
  • Enter and track compostable product orders both to and from our members
  • Directly communicate with the operations and growth teams
  • Answer phones, follow up with voicemails, and make phone calls to happy and unhappy members

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in the customer service/support field and/or academic training in a related area

  • Tech savvy. You must be able to navigate and use multiple web-based platforms, administrative tools, communication tools (ie Slack), Google Suite, etc. all at the same time with ease and efficiency
  • Capacity to communicate with teammates in a clear, concise, and friendly manner
  • Ability and experience leaning into growth and learning. Can accept critical feedback and apply it quickly
  • Able and willing to work a few hours on Sundays

Residential Driver - AKA Route Wrangler Raleigh, NC & Atlanta, GA • OPS Team • Full-Time

At the core of our service is providing clean and lined pails to our members every week while making every interaction a delight for members. As a Route Wrangler and Soil Slinger you prepare bins for delivery, maneuver your designated route (servicing residential and office members), document details of individuals stops (logging route data) and handle the collection process.

Responsibilities

At basic, servicing each member stop involves:

  • managing member stops through our Admin (Wrangler) Dashboard (on iPad)
  • delivering clean lined pail(s) **new members also receive a magnet list of accepted compostables
  • weighing & recording collected pail(s)
  • delivering pails of compost back to members (as requested)

About You

  • Clean driving record and comfortable maneuvering large vehicle
  • Strong commitment to safety of self and others
  • Love of exceptional customer service, and a natural sense of hustle
  • Strong desire to work with your head AND your hands
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds above your head
  • Willing and able to work outdoors in all elements (rain, heat, cold, etc.)
  • Detail oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, multitask and react quickly to changing conditions
  • Committed to communicating regularly and constructively with team members
  • Experience driving commercial vehicles or work vans a plus

Commercial Driver - AKA Route Wrangler Raleigh, NC & Atlanta, GA • OPS Team • Full-time

The Commercial Driver is responsible for servicing our various commercial members (restaurants, offices, etc.) collecting roll carts filled with compostable material (35 and 65 gallon carts) and dropping off clean, empty carts. The driver will be responsible for maneuvering their designated route, documenting details of individual stops (logging route data) and handling the collection process.

  • managing member stops through our Admin (Wrangler) Dashboard (on iPad)
  • delivering clean roll carts
  • collecting roll carts full of compostable material, weighing and recording data of collected cart
  • delivering compostable products to commercial accounts (when necessary)

About You

  • Experience with box trucks REQUIRED (we currently operate a 26ft straight truck)
